Industrial resin is a pallet-position business with two hard constraints most importers underestimate: sprinkler classification and contamination control. Plastics carry stricter fire protection requirements than general merchandise, and a building that can legally stack corrugated four high may not be permitted to store the same cube of polyethylene at all.

Drayage Considerations

Heavy industrial commodities like plastics & resins change the drayage equation. Container weight determines whether a standard chassis is legal or a tri-axle is required, and overweight moves price differently at every port. Terminal appointments, chassis pool availability and your receiving window all shape the final rate far more than the line haul itself.
